Polar Plunge was a private purchase from Ottenwalters and one that has us pretty excited. After having many boars from this firm and seeing how they have worked and bred on for many, this one was a no brainer to buy and out of an extremely deep litter. Sired by the Wedding Blues boar that has had a good first season. Mother of this guy is a female that they bought, and is a littermate to Blurred Vision. We have pictured numerous boars at my house by the pond and never had any issue with any until the day we pictured this guy. He earned his namesake “Polar Plunge” by jumping in the pond on a 25 degree day.

Polar Plunge is a power boar that is still very attractive and good looking from the side with a great color pattern. He is massive about his bone and foot and offers spread and shape up high and has that power coming and going. He is square off both ends and flexible up front and behind with good pasterns. We think this boar will work on those bigger made females that need more mass and power, yet keep them good looking. If wanting to use a boar to bring power and prettiness to the table, then take the POLAR PLUNGE!!!!
