Platform is a boar that we raised and the only male pig we kept intact in the whole summer 2019 crop and was named by our son Brantley at a young age. We retained all the littermate sisters and are keeping them to build off of. Mother of this litter is the 2018 Grand Champion Gilt at the Indiana State Fair and the grandmother is the 2017 Reserve Grand Champion Gilt at the Indiana State Fair from Weisinger that the Logue Family showed. Sired by the Dirty Harry boar that we used very hard for that crop and have had a great amount of success with those. Dirty Harry combines a different sow line here that has worked for us and is ¾ sib to the Lackey Heimer barrow that won 2018 San Antonio. Love this guy’s pedigree that’s loaded with purple banners and can be that generator that keeps producing banners.
Platform is one incredible built boar that can be a fixer to those ones that need to be up on feet and legs and keep them good looking with right proportions. He is a loose made boar that is up on pasterns, square coming and going, and so loose and flexible off both ends. Unmatched in terms of look and design on the side with enough shape and muscle. We feel this guy will work on the burly power sows that need more design, build, and keep them square. When trying to build a foundation to make champions, we suggest you start with PLATFORM!! |
