Own It is a boar that is out of a great litter of pigs and a sow that we are very confident in. He is sired by the Own The World boar that has done an incredible job for so many, we are very glad we got to use on this sow before he passed. Mother is a $16k Heimer female that is also the mother of Everyone Knows and one that dominated the show ring when the Caldwell family showed her. She has been a building block for the Platt Hampshire program. Littemate gilts to this guy are flat out impressive and the kind of Hampshires that can make a splash not only in the showring but a breeding program.

Own It is a real attractive boar from the side. Up on his pasterns and very attractive about his head and neck, yet not too big or too short in his frame or length. Awesome ribshape and center body, still has shape and power on top side of skeleton. He is one that angles are good off both ends and after having a foot injured as a pig he is one that is still good In terms of soundness and flexibility. Making Hampshire can be frustrating but we feel can be make more consistent for both breeders and feeders with the help of OWN IT!!!!!
