Shawshank is our off the farm purchase from Farrell Livestock and we teamed up with Rodibuaghs to get this guy landed. As good as Young Love has generated from this firm, this was a no brainer on buying this boar with maybe some more outlier pieces. Brock and Brett made this mating to try to breed a close pedigree to Young Love using a Dirty Lovin son and breeding to Young Love’s mother’s littermate sister. Pedigree that we like, but looking at him he is so similar to Young Love.

Shawshank is one extremely dense made hog that brings stoutness to a new level. Starting at the ground, this one is giant legged with dark thick hair and still flexible off both ends. He offers shape and spread up high and takes that power to the ground. Has a great head and neck that ties in right up high and the right length of body to be able to make barrows and gilts. When needing to add more of everything with power, bone, and keep them built right, then get redemption and use SHAWSHANK!!!!!
