Da Vinci is one of those boars that has an impact on you the first time you lay eyes on them, and that’s what this dude did when we drove up to see him. Sired by the first crop of Work of Art, and what a run he is off to. Mother is the famous Danica, sow that is also the mother of Hibachi, one of those famous red generating females in the breed. Da Vinci is also a littermate to Picasso and out of a flat killer litter with a bunch of awesome keeper gilts. Including a dominating gilt that was shown by Holly Howard. Every time jackpotted was named Grand or Reserve Grand Overall and finished her career being named 3 rd Overall Purebred Gilt at the 2023 NJSS. Tremendous litter and a pedigree that we know generates, and this one is going to be FAMOUS!!!
Da Vinci is so impressive and looks to be a breeding hog and showpig maker in a perfect combination. When trying to explain what he is, I think he is the combination of the last 3 generations in one, combining Hibachi’s build and feet and legs, Creation’s shape and look, and Work of Art’s feature and bone. He is awesome in terms of proportion and one that is super stout in every regard. He is awesome on his feet and legs with set up front, a hind leg near perfect, heavy boned and big footed. This guy is tall fronted and level from the side, square coming and going with width up high and down low. When painting a winning Duroc picture in your head, it can be made famous with DA VINCI!!!! |
