Crunch is a boar that was one unique dude from the start, out of a sow line that we have got along with very well and built around. The grandmother of this boar is the Heimer Click 285 sow that traces back to 90 percent of our hamp herd that we have and has hung plenty of banners in the Hampshire ring. Mother is a littermate to Whitney Stephenson’s Champion Hampshire and 4 th  Overall Purebred Barrow at the 2022 NJSA SE Regional. Sired by a boar at Heimer’s that he was nice enough to send me 2 doses of and I don’t think many other litters out of him other than on the Hill. In his first crop, Roar sired the Champion Hampshire Barrow at the 2023 Expo for Brantley Platt, and I’m guessing that Roar offspring will make more trips to the backdrop.

Crunch has always been a boar that has been super wild looking from the side with a crazy neck and extension. He is a rare combination of that look from the side with great width of body that comes at you square and leaves you with a perfect hind leg with squareness and width. He offers shape and turn up high and still good in his center body with incredible feet and legs and up on pasterns.
