Brown Bag is a purchase from the 2022 Expo. After that show and sticking this very active boar 2nd in class, I felt that he had some breeding value and a pedigree that we didn’t have much of at the stud. Don and Preston Smith are no strangers to the Duroc breed and have made a bunch of good ones for a long time. This guy was all fired up at the show. Once he settled down, he is one impressive boar to look at. He is out of a Tres Amigos sow and goes back to some of the good stuff in the program.

Brown Bag is one that we feel can make the junior big ring gilts and heavy weight barrows that it takes to win some big ones. He is a super tall fronted and long necked dude that balances up great on the side. He is one that has more extension from the side and offers a bigger package. He is still big about his chest, square behind, and mobile off both ends. We feel that this guy can be a homerun on those chubbier moderate sows that need more look and design from the side, need to be bigger in kind, and still keep hard muscle shape up high.
